Anorganicky vázaný Se a kmín kořenný (Carum carvi) v dietě pomalu rostoucích kuřat
Burian, Tomáš
The thesis deals with inorganically bound selenium and carraway in the diet of slow growing chickens. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy of the digestive tract of the domestic chicken, nutrition and feeding of slow-growing chickens, then selenium in the diet of broilers, and finally caraway (Carum Carvi) in animal diets. The practical part of the thesis deals with an experiment carried out on 144 slow-growing roosters of the hybrid breed Hubbard JA 57 A. These broilers were divided into 4 groups according to the addition of ingredients to the feed. The first group (n=36) was the control and had no additive in the diet. The second group (n=36) had an addition of 0.4 mg/kg inorganically bound selenium in the diet. The third group (n=36) had selenium supplemented with 1% caraway. The feed ration of the fourth group (n=36) contained only the addition of 1 % caraway. The aim was to investigate the effect of inorganically bound selenium and caraway on feed consumption, feed conversion, animal weights during and at the end of fattening, carcass and main cut parts yield, blood plasma selenium content and blood biochemical parameters. From the above results, it is evident that the effect of addition of selenium and caraway to the feed mixture of broiler chickens, was not statistically proven (P>0.05) in feed consumption, feed conversion, weight of chickens, carcass and major cut parts yield and blood biochemical parameters. On the other hand, there was statistical evidence (P<0.05) of the effect of inorganic selenium supplementation on the groups compared to the groups without such supplementation.
Vnější faktory působící na výkrm brojlerových kuřat
Taláková, Viktorie
The bachelor thesis discusses individual factors which affect broiler chicken fattening. This work includes a brief history of broiler chicken production up to the present day, as well as the most crucial broiler breeds – Ross 308 and Cobb 500. Statistical data about the production and consumption of chicken meat in the Czech Republic and the world are also mentioned. This work continues with the description of internal factors affecting broiler chicken production. The central part of the bachelor thesis dedicates to external factors, their connection with chicken fattening, and the correlation between the concentration of the chickens and their welfare. The effect of individual external factors is evaluated at the end of the work. The most essential factors are disinfection of the poultry farm, feeding, water, microclimate, litter, and floor space density. Feed is the most significant part of the total cost.
Hmyz – složka krmiv pro drůbež: ekonomické souvislosti a marketingová strategie.
Konečný, Lukáš
The bachelor thesis deals with insects as a component of poultry feed from economic and marketing view. Thesis is divided into two parts, i.e. literature research, which include history, legislation, expert articles and studies considering insects in poultry feed. Second part of the thesis deals with insects feed from company Underground Food, market research, searching producer of this feed and price comparison of poultry feed with insects. In the end is proposed marketing strategy how to make poultry feed with insects visible on the market.
The detection of food with gene manipulated organisms in chicken
VRABCOVÁ, Petra
The aim of this study is to confirm or to refutate possible transfer of transgene from diet containing genetically modified organism in blood of broilers. Broilers were fed with diets containing Roundup Ready soybean and Bt maize (MON810). DNA was isolated from the whole blood of these broilers. PCR using primers for growth hormon was performed as control of isolation. Then samples were submitted to PCR for detection of fragments of lectin genes from soya and HMG gene from maize. Fragments of soya DNA and maize DNA in the blood were detected. Subsequently, the detection of specific transgene of RoundupReady soya and Bt maize (MON810) in blood samples was positive too.
